How to make a privacy request
You have choices about the personal information Swiftlendly holds about you. This page explains what you can ask for, how to ask, and what happens after you do. It is written in plain words on purpose. If anything here is unclear, contact us and we will explain.
What you can request
A copy of your information (access). You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you and to give you a copy of it.
Deletion. You can ask us to delete the personal information we have about you. Some information may be kept when the law requires it, for example records we must hold to document your consent or to meet legal obligations. If we keep anything after a deletion request, we will keep only what the law requires and tell you that we did.
Opt out of sale or sharing. Our business involves sharing and selling your loan request, with your consent, to independent lenders, lending networks, and routing platforms, and we are paid for that. You can tell us to stop selling or sharing your personal information. Use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page to make this choice.
Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights, such as correcting inaccurate information. If you ask for something not listed here, we will still review your request and respond based on the law of your state.
How to submit a request
- To opt out of sale or sharing: use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page on this Website. It is the fastest route for that choice.
- For access, deletion, or anything else: contact the Website Operator using the contact methods published on this Website. Tell us what you are asking for and how to reach you.
You do not need to use any special legal wording. "Please delete my information" is enough.
How we confirm it is really you
Your loan request contains sensitive information, so before we hand over a copy of it or delete it, we need to be reasonably sure the request comes from you and not from someone pretending to be you.
Here is what that looks like in practice. We will ask you to confirm details that should match what you gave us, such as your name, email address, phone number, or other information from your application. We match what you tell us against our records. We will never ask you for your full Social Security number or your bank account password to verify a request. If we cannot match enough details to be confident, we will tell you what else we need or explain why we cannot complete the request.
Opting out of sale or sharing requires less verification than access or deletion, because the risk of harm from a false opt-out is low. We will not make you jump through extra hoops to opt out.
How long it takes
We will confirm that we received your request, then respond within the time required by your state's law. If we need more time and the law allows an extension, we will tell you before the original deadline passes and explain why.
What it costs
Nothing. We do not charge a fee for privacy requests. If someone claiming to represent us asks you to pay to exercise your privacy rights, do not pay, and report it to us.
No retaliation
We will not punish you for making a privacy request. We will not deny you our services, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service because you exercised your rights. One honest caveat: if you ask us to delete your information while your loan request is still being processed, we may no longer be able to continue processing that request, because we cannot forward information we no longer have. We will tell you if that applies before we act.
Using an authorized agent
You can have someone else submit a request for you, such as a family member, an attorney, or a service you have hired. We call that person your authorized agent. To protect you, we will ask for proof that you gave the agent permission, such as a signed statement from you or a copy of a power of attorney, and we may also contact you directly to confirm. An agent request follows the same verification and timing rules described above.
If we say no
If we deny all or part of your request, we will tell you why. Depending on your state, you may have the right to appeal our decision, and we will explain how to do that in our response. You may also contact your state attorney general or privacy regulator.
A note on what deletion does not undo
If we already shared your loan request with a lender, lending network, or routing platform before you asked us to delete or opt out, that recipient has its own copy and its own legal duties. Your request to us does not automatically erase their copy. Where the law requires us to pass your request along to recipients, we will. You can also contact a lender directly about the information it holds.
